1891-Original Deed of 201 Acres after Chancery Court case issued. Had been in Bland County for a number of years prior to the Court case in 1886. Possibly with A.J. Tynes, Robert Harman, and Jacob Sea; whose chancery court cases mentioned their contracts with Thomas F. Walker began in 1879. Ferguson land adjoined lands of Richard Shields, J.D. Honaker and others.2
Bland County 1900 census lists his name as McHenry. This could have been true. His father Reuben named one of his son's Dewitt after John Dewitt Booth and there was a McHenry Booth also.3 |
